Caroline Rides a Bike!

This spring, we "sprung" for Caroline a new bike...not just a Walmart one, mind you, but one Karen found online and fell in love with from California. Caroline has a purple beach cruiser, complete with fenders!

Well, Caroline was a bit reluctant at first...she remembered Nicholas learning to ride a bike back in the day, and him knocking out his front teeth in a crash. Boy those were the days! We tried bribing her with gum, candy, and whatever else, and finally threatened to give it to one of her best friends Anna Grace. That got us rolling, though not far and fully assisted...

A few weeks later, Caroline lost both her front teeth (due to natural causes) on subsequent nights. The next time we gave the ol' two-wheeler a try, she took off!
