Yes, it's true, though he still plays the safety position. He's also the #1 kick-returner, though 8-yr-old kick-offs seldom get back to him that far! He seems to be a natural at that, except that he's not very fast. He's a shifty little guy, and has a knack for making people miss. If he can get those long legs moving, we may be on to something!
Nicholas had been the backup quarterback, and a few practices ago the coaches started putting in some passing plays. They had Nicholas run a few of them, and he picked them up very quickly. Next thing we know, Nicholas was taking all of the snaps in practice, and learning the running plays as well. Our scrawny little guy will make his first start at quarterback this Saturday! Please say a few prayers!
