If you've read the Part 1 post, you know that we were off and running on a super-fabulous day. After our gallivanting around town, we went to Caroline's favorite Mexican restaurant, "El Molinos". It's her buddy Anna Grace's favorite place too-in fact, Caroline usually calls it "Anna Grace's place". It's probably the best Mexican food in town, but Caroline likes it because of the chicken tenders and fries...go figure.
They did surprise her with a HUGE chocolate and whipped cream covered scoop of fried ice-cream in the cinammon tortilla...our veins clogged up even as I typed that...
Still, it was delicious!
After that, we headed home to open presents and have a quiet afternoon playing and resting. Caroline had a fantastic afternoon, playing with her new doll Kitt Kittredge, and having Kitt, Mia, and Fancy Nancy sleep in the new bunk-trundle bed system that Grammy & Papa sent. After that, she enjoyed playing "Barbie Horse Camp" on the Wii (her first, very own game for the Wii).
We finished the day off with a "fireworks" cake, which was really a confetti cake out of a box. Karen baked it, Otis helped himself to a chunk while it cooled, and I iced/decorated...what a team!
Hope you enjoyed sharing her birthday with her by reading this post...She's still accepting presents, of course...
