I mentioned in a previous post that after 15 years of teaching, I finally was able to enjoy at least part of my summer off - I know right?!?
Commence Operation STAYCATION 2012! We finally had the time (and lots of visitors) to get out and experience some of the amazing things about our fair city! Phase 1 - GET ON THE WATER!!
CSU Professor of Saxophone, Director of Jazz Studies, and Instrumental Coordinator Mark Sterbank has a lovely sailboat, and treated Marshall Forrester (CSU Director of Bands) and myself to an afternoon on the water...AWESOME with a side of AWESOME-SAUCE! I haven't been sailing since the summer of 1998 or 1999, which is WAY TOO LONG to not sail. Gotta work on that for sure -
Little did we know there was a small craft advisory that day, but it didn't stop Skipper Mark with mate Marshall at the helm and mate Nick pulling the sheets. GREAT FUN!
